What do I take to Kindy?

You can help your child be ready for any Kindy adventure.

For every Kindy day please make sure your child has:

  • ‘Kindy’ clothes that allow children to explore and get involved in messy play without worrying about dirtying their clothes.

  • A named lunch box with a selection of healthy food.
  • A named water bottle (no juice or milk please).
  • A named bag with a spare change of clothes in a bag (for when I get into messy play!).
  • A great attitude!

We ask that all children being left at Kindergarten without a parent are beginning or in toilet training. The teachers are happy to help with this and children needing help are reminded or helped by the staff to go to the toilet.

Please do not bring toys to Kindy as some children might feel sad if your child does not want to share.

On the first day children are asked to bring a framed photo of their family to display. Children may find looking at it comforting. It also helps show them that their family is also part of our larger Kindy family!
